Radio Frequency Distribution System (RFDS)

Proven Radio Frequency (RF) interference mitigation technology using ultra-narrow transmit signal filtering combined with cascaded cancellation systems protecting active communications receivers.

  • Full flexibility to achieve the desired signal routings from several types of military and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) radios to any of the specified antennas
  • Enables the use of separate, fully compliant antennas for each transmit and receive band, for both port and starboard sides of the ship, to optimize system efficiency
  • Full compliance with Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) requirements
  • Multi-carrier performance in VHF, UHF and SATCOM transmit and receive frequency bands
  • Built-in-Test (BIT) capability
  • Routing and configuration of the RF switch function for both transmit and receive modes is programmed by a remote manager located external to the RFDS
  • Complete bus control and continuous monitoring of the entire RFDS with the capability of reporting a complete system status to the remote manager
  • RFDS equipment is housed in three 19-inch equipment racks
