The MPN-14K is the latest generation landing control center for high-density RAPCON and GCA operations. This system features fully solid-state ASR, upgraded PAR, SSR and communications subsystems. Designed as a mobile system to meet tactical operational requirements, the MPN-14K may also be installed in fixed base configuration with separable PAR and ASR subsystems to optimize radar coverage. The system supports the safe landing of high performance aircraft in adverse weather conditions.
- 60-mile Solid-state E-Band (2.7 – 2.9 GHz) Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) with upgraded receiver, synthesizer and processor electronics for an interference resistance system.
- 15-mile I-Band (9.0 – 9.6 GHz) Precision Approach Radar (PAR) featuring dual 80 kW transmitters and dual solid-state fault tolerant MTI processors with redundant parallel target processing. The PAR features a new computer-controlled expanded scan antenna that enables coverage of multiple runway configurations including parallel runways.
