ITT Exelis provides organizational through general support maintenance and supply services support to ongoing Army Material Command-Forward Southwest Asia (AMC FWD-SWA) contingency missions in Qatar and the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility. This includes logistical support of combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Project personnel perform scheduled and unscheduled service and repair of prepositioned vehicles and equipment, weapon systems (Patriot Missiles, Hell Fire COE Missile support), engineer/special purpose equipment, and communications and electronics equipment. Additionally, the project repairs/refurbishes and rebuilds vehicles and equipment coming out of the fight and returns them to theater stocks for issue to units in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Horn of Africa.
• Maintenance: establishment and maintenance of storage environment, corrosion control, limited repairs, de-preservation/represervation, AWRDS, and maintenance workbench interface.
• Supply and Services: warehousing, organizational-level supply, distribution, and storage support; GFP and GFE accountability, TMDE, and AWRDS interface
The work is performed for the US Army Sustainment Command at Camp As Sayliyah, Doha, Qatar.
