ITT Exelis is committed to providing safe and secure workplaces for our employees. For us this means that we regularly assess our operations to identify and address areas of potential improvement. Our core program “Accept Only Zero” recognizes that while accidents will occur they are never acceptable.

As a new organization we are committed to reducing injuries and use of natural resources, a tradition we inherited from our heritage as one of ITT’s most sustainable operations. Most often we use simple tools and trained leaders that allow any employee to be an ESH leader under our ESH Management System. This management system has been deployed though over 75 percent of the organization and will be complete in 2012.

As we establish the baseline for our new company we will identify and communicate hard targets for improvement in coming years.
