ITT's Spacelift Range System Contract (SLRSC) team provided support for the launch of Boeing's X-37B orbital test vehicle that lifted off recently. ITT's SLRSC employees managed and maintained a network of telescopes, radar dishes, telemetry, command systems and other equipment that tracks launches into orbit at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station launch site and the Vandenberg Air Force Base where the X-37B is scheduled to land. The unmanned spacecraft is being tested as an efficient way to ferry satellite components to orbit and back.
